Terminology
DITA uses a number of terms in particular or unique ways. Within the scope of this specification, the following terms are used when talking about DITA models, DITA declarations, and DITA instances.DITA can be understood at the level of an abstract model without reference to particular DTDs, schemas, or actual XML documents.
